OUR STORY

The Founders - Chelsea and Steven

Steven and I met when we were cast as dance partners in our high school production of “Hello, Dolly!” I was the choreographer for the musical, but I was too shy to stand up in front of everyone and teach them the dance moves. I would teach Steven the dances, and he would stand in front of the cast with me to be my voice and teach them the dances alongside me. Things really aren’t much different now, 19 years later. He still stands by my side and makes me brave. He’s been by my side through better and worse, and there’s truly nobody else I can imagine spending life with. We’re both goofy as hell and love living in the mountains and vacationing by the sea.

Steven is outgoing, funny, and energetic. He loves meeting people and traveling to new places. If music is playing as we’re browsing at a store, he’s singing along - loudly and off key. He used to be a barista and loves coffee, football, and being a dad. He has a passion for real estate and in addition to photography, he loves helping people buy their forever home.

I (Chelsea) am more reserved when you first get to know me, quietly sarcastic, and sometimes too caring. I could eat sushi or Mexican food every day - for every meal - for the rest of my life, and homeschooling our two small children, planning our travel (special mention to my hyperfixation on Disney World), and running our business are my passions in life.

We are both genuinely obsessed with traveling to new places and repeatedly rewatching literally every episode of The Office. We love to serve people and aim to exemplify God’s love for us, gently guiding our clients through their wedding day, keeping our clients’ experience at the forefront of what we do. We don’t just capture their memories; by being a small part of their wedding day, we help create them, and we don’t take that lightly.

Between weddings, you’ll catch us listening to alternative rock music (any Third Eye Blind fans out there?) on the road, and making pit stops anywhere and everywhere (much to Steven’s dismay, who is always driving and just wants to get there with minimal stops). We are big nerds (went to Harry Potter premieres, use too many LOTR references, our dog is named after a Game of Thrones character, etc.) Our favorite thing about our job is that we get to be part of the most special, important day of our couples' lives so far - whether that's in the mountains where we live, on the coast, or anywhere in between.

Our Team

We’re passionate about capturing the WHOLE story, which is why we expanded our team to offer our clients more and free us up creatively. We scrapped time limits a decade ago. We found that an 8-hour limit was rarely enough to tell the story of an entire wedding day. We average 11 hours of work on a wedding day, but we don’t approach anything in a cookie cutter way. We work with each client to create a photography timeline that’s all-encompassing and allows the entire story to be told. Our team members - Leah, Jake, and Lindsay - all share our collective vision. Because we are comprised of a team of artists, the quality and energy we greet you with at 10am is the same you’ll have to capture your grand exit at midnight. Our weddings are all-inclusive, meaning our team works from the time the event begins til the end of the night, providing you with a gallery and videos that reflect a complete love story, not just a small snippet of the day.

If you value gorgeous portraits as well as emotive candid moments and you’re searching for a team who can give you the best of both worlds, we’d be the perfect fit!
